The men of the 90th Infantry Division entered an exchange of fire near Výhledy. This took place nearby the gamekeeper’s lodge, which had been occupied by the Hitlerjugend. They had a training center in a nearby hotel atop Výhledy. Heavy fighting also took place between Capartice and Výhledy, during which the 90th Division lost three further men. The army established a watchtower atop Výhledy from which observers could see all the way to Domažlice.
A young hunter who had witnessed the events later recalled that they had to make several trips with their wagon when clearing away the bodies of the dead German soldiers. These soldiers were mainly youth from the above-mentioned Hitlerjugend.
